What’s castile soap?
Castile soap is versatile and gentle on people and the environment. Contains no PALM OIL.
Our Organic Castile Soap is fragrance free, but can easily be fragranced with essential oils and thickened with table salt.
What makes castile soap eco-friendly?
- It’s biodegradable.
- It’s vegan.
- It’s not tested on animals.
- It’s scent-free (no synthetic fragrances, even natural essential oils).
- It’s free of artificial foaming agents, harsh cleansers, deconstructed fatty acids from vegetable oils or fats (a.k.a. oleochemicals), petrochemicals and/or chemical antibacterial agents (such as triclosan).
- It’s concentrated, so a little goes a long way.
Note: Read labels carefully and choose products with vegetable-based ingredients. “Liquid soap” doesn’t mean “plant-based.”
All-purpose spray – Recipe
Cleans tubs, tiles, counters, high chair trays, microwaves, floors and more.
Time to make: five minutes
Shelf life: about six months
- 1.5 L (6 cups) water
- 60 ml (¼ cup) liquid castile soap
- 5-10 drops (optional) essential oils, e.g., thyme
Combine ingredients in a big bowl or jug. Stir and pour into labelled spray bottle(s). (This is a massive batch. Keep a bottle under kitchen and bathroom sinks, in the dining room, etc.)
Liquid Castile Soap is a natural soap made from coconut and olive oil. It can be used as shampoo, body wash, hand soap, or a mild laundry detergent. Its gentle cleansing is great for sensitive skin.
Caution: Some essential oils may not blend well with natural soap, such as lemon, lemongrass, clove, and eucalyptus. Test before use. Orange and other oils may float if too much is added—warm, stir, and check after 24 hours. Skim excess if needed. Oil- or water-based herbal ingredients may be used.

Unbelievable product!!!!Finally something that really works. I used a teaspoon to clean my washing machine, and it took away all the black bits have gone, I am so exceited as I have tried many products. I did a full wash cycle to clean the machine with the castile liquid and my washing is sparkling. I used a bit on my wooden floors together with dish liquid and olive oil with warm water and my wooden floors look amazing.
